Heijmans' EUR 54 million provision is adequate

Heijmans allowed for an amount of EUR 45 million from its 2003 and 2004 results as a provision for settling the construction affair. Last week an additional provision of EUR 9 million was allocated from the 2006 results. The cause was the penalty the European Commission imposed in the 'bitumen case'. Heijmans is considering an appeal. In total Heijmans has allocated EUR 54 million in provisions for the financial settlement of the construction affair.

Heijmans has allowed for the definitive penalties which have now been imposed. The provisions made are adequate. The forecast for profits after taxes remains EUR 78 million. Heijmans is maintaining its 2006 dividend proposal of EUR 1.45 per share.
