NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- ContextWeb, Inc. announced today that 43 new websites joined the ADSDAQ(tm) exchange in July 2007 and an additional 51 joined in August. New members of the exchange include: Local.com, Raging Bull, A&E, Citadel Broadcasting, Nielsen Digital, Salary.com and Sports Illustrated.
ADSDAQ's reach increased 83% since August of 2006 to 42% of the U.S., according to comScore. Unique users per month to ADSDAQ have also increased 91% since August of 2006 to 76.6 million in August 2007, and impressions per month have increased 127% since August of 2006 to 5 billion impressions in August 2007.
"We're pleased to have a rapidly growing exchange, full of high-quality websites," says Anand Subramanian, CEO of ContextWeb, Inc. "This is the kind of audience and scale that attracts and meets the needs of major brand advertisers."
Mike Pallad, VP Sales, Citadel Broadcasting, says, "With ADSDAQ, we get a guaranteed CPM rate and the ability to raise the bar for our other ad networks and exchanges."
"ADSDAQ provides pricing control to both the advertiser and the publisher and allows both to take advantage of the open ad market. Online publishers set their AskPrice(tm) and advertisers set their BidPrice(tm) on the exchange. Unique to ADSDAQ is that the exchange is used for premium inventory, not remnant space," concludes Mr. Subramanian. "The company's page level targeting provides the control to advertisers to make its exchange inventory 'brand safe' and eliminate waste."
Carissa Pelletier, Sports Illustrated, says, "ADSDAQ is about predictability and control. I know the CPM. There is no revenue share guessing."
ContextWeb (www.contextweb.com) was founded in 2000 and launched the ADSDAQ exchange in 2005. The exchange's patent-pending, page-level technology offers advertisers efficient pricing and extensive reach, making inventory on the exchange comparable to a site specific buy. As of August 2007, ContextWeb's ADSDAQ ranks among the top 25 ad supported properties, according to comScore Media Metrix. The exchange serves impressions from more than 350 advertisers, including 12 of the top 15 ad agencies, and 1,000 publishers. Also in 2007, Deloitte's New York Region Technology Fast 50 recognized ContextWeb as the 17th fastest growing company in the New York area. ContextWeb investors include leading venture capital firms Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Updata Partners.
