(Oslo, 13 October 2009) Today, the Government presented its budget proposal, under which Statkraft SF will pay a dividend of NOK 3 740 million, corresponding to 85 percent of the group's profit after tax and minority interests adjusted for unrealised changes in values and non-recurring items in 2009. Statkraft SF is the parent company of Statkraft AS and the proposed dividend will determine the allocation of profit made by Statkraft AS.
In February, Statkraft's board of directors submitted a recommendation to the Minister of Trade and Industry, calling for a strengthening of the company's equity by NOK 8 billion NOK and an adjustment of the dividend policy. The purpose would be to implement Statkraft's strategy for continued growth in environmentally friendly and flexible energy production. The proposal is still under consideration by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
