Bob Winter Named Chief Creative Officer of Young & Rubicam Chicago

Creator of Budweiser's "Real Men of Genius" Campaign Takes Creative Helm at Chicago Agency


CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - October 27, 2010) -  Tony Granger, Global Chief Creative Officer of WPP's Young & Rubicam, announced today that Bob Winter has been appointed Chief Creative Officer of the Chicago office. Winter will start his new position in December, and will be responsible for overseeing the agency's creative direction and all work for its clients, which include Sears, DieHard, Craftsman, Hotels.com, Giant Eagle and Kenmore. Winter will report to Granger.

A highly awarded and respected creative leader, Winter comes to Young & Rubicam from Leo Burnett Chicago, where he served as SVP, Executive Creative Director for over three years, creating memorable work for clients such as Altoids, Kellogg's, Greenpeace and Caesars Palace.

Prior to Leo Burnett, Winter was Creative Director at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco where he worked on key clients including Ace Hardware, Budweiser and Netflix. Before that, he spent eight years at DDB Chicago, rising to VP, Creative Director. While there, Winter created Budweiser's "Real Men of Genius" campaign, which remains one of the most awarded campaigns in history.
