MyPermissions Introduces All New Real-Time Data Privacy Apps for iOS, Android and the Web

Provides 24/7 Personal Privacy Protection with Live Mobile Alerts and More Control Over Personal Data on Facebook, Gmail and the Cloud Than Ever Before

Ramat Gan, ISRAEL, June 20, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MyPermissions, a provider of security tools and services for scanning, monitoring and controlling how connected applications access user personal data online, has announced new upgraded versions of its mobile data privacy applications on iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire, and its Web plugin, MyPermissions Cleaner. The newly redesigned apps offer 24/7 Internet privacy protection with real-time alerts, now on mobile as well as on the Web. Additionally, the updates give users the ability to approve or remove multiple applications of their choice at once, with a single click.

MyPermissions scans connected applications and displays the permissions users granted them across social networks and cloud services. Its new, mobile live alerts for Facebook, Google, Twitter, DropBox, and Instagram let consumers know whenever an application accesses their personally identifiable information (PII), and gives them the choice to allow access to their data, or revoke it. They can do this directly from the MyPermissions interface, without having to navigate through tedious privacy settings to do so, giving the control back to them.

"No longer do we store our information on computers protected by Anti-Viruses and Firewalls. Today, our lives are online. Our emails, calendar, contacts, business relations, our personal photos and files are all on the cloud," said Olivier Amar, CEO of MyPermissions. "Over the past week, we've heard a lot about the NSA scandal, PRISM, and how the government is accessing our personal information. But millions of apps and sites also gain access to this information on a daily basis. We're giving consumers a way to finally protect and control their data."

Recently, MyPermissions also launched a Trust Certification program for developers. Trust Certification is a free, easy way for developers to build trust with consumers by agreeing to a standardized code of transparency policies. In its first weeks, certified developer partners have seen conversions increase by nearly 8% by displaying the certification badge. MyPermissions' new consumer apps play an integral role in the program as well, allowing users to crowdsource trustworthiness and raise potential red flags for personal data privacy concerns.
