Junior Achievement USA to Partner with CBS EcoMedia on Innovative Viewers to Volunteers Program

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., March 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Junior Achievement USA (JA), the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people to own their economic success, today announced it is continuing its ongoing partnership with CBS EcoMedia, as an inaugural partner of its new Viewers to Volunteers (V2V) initiative.

Viewers to Volunteers (V2V), which is being launched today at viewerstovolunteers.com, is a new digital platform that empowers consumers to support causes they care about in a simple, fun – and free! – new way. Simply by watching and reading compelling and inspiring articles and videos on their smartphones, tablets, and computers, and sharing these positive stories with others over social media, consumers direct funding to a variety of critical education, wellness, and environmental projects across the country.

"V2V will enable our existing supporters to do more to help us expand student access to JA's financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs," said Jack E. Kosakowski, President and Chief Executive Officer of Junior Achievement USA. "It also provides a new way to involve more people in our mission of inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in the global economy."

"EcoMedia is delighted to extend our collaboration with Junior Achievement, through our new Viewers to Volunteers program," said Paul Polizzotto, EcoMedia president and founder. "By making it easy, fun, and free for everyone to give, V2V broadens JA's reach exponentially, creating a wider community of support for its important work in preparing our nation's young people to reach their potential. EcoMedia is honored to partner with Junior Achievement to help inspire the next generation of leaders and givers."

Viewers to Volunteers launches today in Los Angeles, Dallas, Twin Cities, and Philadelphia, with plans to expand to additional markets later this spring.
